We are just days away from what is arguably the most cherished time of the year for Christians: Passion Week. It begins with Palm Sunday and includes Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and culminates with Easter Sunday. Cross Creek will be having a Maundy Thursday service at 7 pm. This service tends to be a shorter, more solemn time to reflect upon Jesus' institution of the Lord's Supper and his subsequent betrayal in the Garden of Gethsemane. The Lord's Supper will be served so please prepare yourself for the sacrament with prayer, scripture reading, and appropriate reconciliation with others. Childcare will not be provided. Also, please enter the sanctuary quietly and reverently. There will be no First Hour (Digging Deeper) class on Easter Sunday.
We will be having two Easter Sunday services: 9 am and 10:30 am. We need some assistance in the children's wing during these services, so please contact either Lynn Fowler or Heather Coggins for details. An announcement will be made this Sunday in worship.
It was great to have Chuck McArthur back at Cross Creek preaching this past Sunday. Please keep Chuck and his overseas missions work in your prayers.
A church workday is scheduled for this Saturday from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm. Please bring your green thumb and any lawn care equipment (gloves, rakes, etc.).
This Sunday we will be looking at Jesus' triumphal entry and all that it means for us today. I can't wait to worship with you.
