What a joy last Sunday turned out to be. We worshipped together and gave God thanks for our graduating seniors, Tommy Park delivered an inspiring sermon on Psalm 121, Craig Williford and a team of talented RUF students lead our time of music, our Ministry Fair saw some fresh faces commit to serving the church, and our picnic on the lawn provided for much needed fellowship. After a few days of rain and high humidity, God gave us a delightful day to enjoy being outside. The highlight of my day? I got to hold Niomi Matheson. It doesn't get much better than that.
By the way, if you'd like to support Tommy Park and the RUF ministry please go to https://givetoruf.org/ProductLanding/757.
Please pray for Keith Snow as he preaches at Westminster Presbyterian in Jacksonville this Sunday (both morning and evening services). Their interim pastor, Jim McCarthy is taking some time off and Keith was invited to preach. Great choice if you ask me! Cross Creek loves serving our fellow PCA churches. May Keith preach boldly, yet lovingly the good news of Christ our Lord.
The elders have started new member interviews. I'm so excited that we will be receiving these folks in the coming weeks. This is just one of the many ways God blessed His church.
Please keep Braden Clark in your prayers. He got a ding on the back of his head yesterday that required some staples. The little guy is doing great and we pray for his speedy recovery!
Please take a moment this weekend to remember our men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for country. Memorial Day is often associated with gatherings and cookouts, but let's also take a moment to remember those who lost life so we could be free.
I'll be back in the pulpit this Sunday continuing on our mercy series. We will be taking a close look at Ruth 2:8-10.
