I so enjoyed worshiping together on Sunday. We kicked off our new sermon series, PHILIPPIANS – Joy in All Things. It was a sweet and Spirit-filled time. God is at work in our midst. As we looked at Scripture together we were reminded that because each of us is united to Christ, we are also united to one another as the body of Christ. This is not just a spiritual reality, it's also a real, tangible one. Unity and community are worth striving for. Our greatest witness to the world is our shared life together.
We are a family, and families need to talk to each other. We have been hard at work to plan and cultivate opportunities to be together and to hear from one another. This includes one-on-one conversations, congregational meetings (including the upcoming UNITY SUNDAY & potluck meal on Feb 12), the development of a new plan for congregational care (stay tuned), a new class about authentic Christian community (Life Together starts this Sunday at 9:30am), and more.
We have also developed an anonymous online survey as an additional avenue to get honest feedback. The survey shouldn't take much of your time, but it would be so helpful and appreciated. Check it out. If you don't know an answer, or it's not applicable to you, just skip it – no problem!
Please continue to devote yourself to prayer for our church family and surrounding community. I truly believe that God is going to be using Cross Creek in unexpected ways in the coming weeks and months, to see friends and neighbors come face to face with the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. To God Be the Glory!
Grace and peace,
